New York Mets
are a professional baseball team based in the borough of
Queens in New York City. The Mets are a member of the East
Division of Major League Baseball's National League. The
Mets are also often referred to as the "Amazins" by fan
and media alike.
One of baseball's first expansion
teams in 1962, the Mets won the 1969 World Series. They
have played in a total of four World Series, including a
second dramatic win in 1986. |

Digital Domain Park is the former
Tradition Field (which was itself the former Thomas J. White
Stadium); naming rights were sold in 2010 to the digital
production house.
Spring Training History
The New York Mets have had only two
spring-training venues in team history: St. Petersburg's
Al Lang Field (1962-1987) and Port St. Lucie (1988-present).
Ballpark History
The New York Mets have trained at
Digital Domain Park since it opened in 1988.
