Check the Disney Character Location Guide. Magic Kingdom has these at every character location, the main tip board on Main Street, and at a lot of merchandise locations as well. This guide will tell you what *sort* of characters to expect at each location (i.e., characters from The Jungle Book, rather than specific ones) as well as what times they will be there.
Guest Relations at the parks are very useful (City Hall at the Magic Kingdom). They have numbers they can contact to see where everyone will be making appearances. If your child has been aching for a photo with Donald Duck, when you arrive at the park in the morning, your best bet would be to go to Guest Relations. They can find out for you where the good spots are to spot that duck. Though, these schedules are always subject to change, there's a good chance of finding the Disney Character you are looking for. | |  | Disney Characters at Magic Kingdom In Toontown they have already set up queue lines. TIP: Ask a cast member, at the beginning of the line, or at the end, before you go in, who is there. Also, several times during the day, the characters all emerge from Sorceror Mickey's hat and spread around for meet and greets. During special events, such as Star Wars Weekends, you have the opportunity to meet many special characters as well! | | Disney Hollywood Studios | |  | Disney Characters at Animal Kingdom Camp Minnie-Mickey Greeting Trails are designated outdoor meet-and-greet areas for some popular Disney Characters to gather, pose for photos and sign autographs in the Camp Minnie-Mickey area of Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. If you wait until the Festival of the Lion King is going that you can have a private audience with the characters in Camp Minnie-Mickey. | | Animal Kingdom | | | One of the best, least crowded place and times to see Characters at Animal Kingdom is in Camp Minnie-Mickey when the park first opens. Most everyone is headed for the Expedition Everest or the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction. Disney World is full of characters. In recent years, many new characters have been spotted at character trails and meet and greets throughout the four Disney parks at Disney World. The characters range from a line of royal princesses and well-known Disney movie heroines (think Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine) to the Toy Story cast of Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and those green army guys. Classic characters like Mickey and cast are regulars at the parks, but aside from the parades, may be more difficult to meet.
