Downtown Disney's West Side opened in 1997 and is the largest of the three Downtown Disney areas, West Side has 344,000 square feet of buildings and a 9,500 square foot area for events and entertainment. If you are looking at Downtown Disney from across the lagoon from Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, you can identify the Westside section by the huge pineapple that sits outside Bongos restaurant. The West Side section is the largest of the three Downtown areas and includes a mix of restaurants , shops and entertainment opportunities. Here guests will find some of the most interesting shopping and unique entertainment to be found in all of Disney.
