The BCS National Championship Game or BCS title game is the
final bowl game of the annual Bowl Championship Series and
is intended by Series organizers to determine College
Football's Division I National Championship. The
participants are the two highest rated teams in the BCS
Standings at the end of the regular college football season,
currently determined by averaging the results of the final
weekly USA Today Coaches Poll, Harris Interactive Poll of
media, former players and coaches, and the average of six
participating Computer Rankings.
With Oklahoma's victory over Missouri in the Big 12
Championship, it is pretty clear that the Sooners will play
in the BCS National Championship game. After the Sooners
blasted Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, they jumped Texas in
the BCS and should remain in one of the top two spots when
the BCS Standings are released Sunday. Oklahoma would be
playing in its fourth title game in the decade, winning one
in 2000. With Florida's 31-20 victory over Alabama in the
SEC Championship, we predict the Gators will jump ahead of
Texas and Alabama and be ranked No. 2 in the BCS Standings.
Florida will play for its second BCS title in the past three
years, beating Ohio State two seasons ago.
